Hooked To Books Reading Challenge

#challengeaccepted

The Hooked To Book Reading Challenge 2017 is all about reading as many books as allows in the year 2017. I stumbled over this challenge from Yvo at It’s All About Books in which she was introduced by the creator, Anitya from Hooked To Books.  Here’s a taste of what to expect from this awesome reading challenge:

Every year, we set our goals of the number of books we want to finish on Goodreads. Reading is amazing and inspiring in itself, but sometimes we need some some fun competition to make it more motivating to accomplish the goals.

So here we are, hosting this readathon among ourselves and our beloved bloggers, hoping to get everyone more motivated to cross their finish line.

Below are the levels in which you can participate PLUS a chance for rewards, we all could use more bookish rewards to further our healthy obsession…. 🙂

Levels Books Read & Reviewed Number of Rewards Rewards

Bookaholist 120+ 1 $100 Amazon Gift Card

Snap Review: A Man Called Ove

Title: A Man Called Ove

My rating: 4/5

Synopsis:

A grumpy yet loveable man finds his solitary world turned on its head when a boisterous young family moves in next door.
Meet Ove. He’s a curmudgeon, the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him the bitter neighbor from hell, but must Ove be bitter just because he doesn’t walk around with a smile plastered to his face all the time?
Behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness. So when one November morning a chatty young couple with two chatty young daughters move in next door and accidentally flatten Ove’s mailbox, it is the lead-in to a comical and heartwarming tale of unkempt cats, unexpected friendship, and the ancient art of backing up a U-Haul. All of which will change one cranky old man and a local residents’ association to their very foundations.
