Review Policy

Review Requests:

I will only accept physical copies to review at this time. Please submit a query on the Contact page with the title, author, genre, amount of pages, synopsis, and any other additional information that would be helpful. A link to the website or where anyone can purchase the book would be greatly appreciated. If I am interested in reviewing a submission, I will respond through email as soon as I am able. To see what my review style is like, check out my Book Reviews page.

Reviewers:

Currently, I am the only reviewer on this blog. As much as I would like to read all day, I alone can only respond to submissions and queries that align with my schedule. If you are interested in serving as a reviewer or guest blogger, please don’t hesitate to Contact me!

Preferred Genres:

I do my best to read various genres depending on interest area and if the synopsis piques my interest. Beyond that, I strongly prefer the following in no particular order:

  • Travel/Adventure Memoirs
  • Memoirs
  • Chick Lit
  • Romance
  • Classics
  • General Fiction
  • Historical Fiction
  • Young Adult Fiction

Posting:

I typically post my review on the blog – linking to the Book Reviews page – in addition to Goodreads, Twitter, and occasionally snippets on Instagram. In the review, you can expect a synopsis from Goodreads to give context to readers, quotes that stood out, my rating, personal reflections, and comments on style, characters, plot, and flow. If there are additional places for the review to be posted, please let me know

Rating System:

I pledge to provide honest reviews for each book I read. I do not pretend to be an expert. With the exception of the Goodreads synopsis & cover image and quotes referenced in the text, all thoughts and reflections are mine. If you wish to use parts and/or all of my review somewhere else, please reference/link back to my blog.
